A leading global investment platform is seeking a Senior Analyst to join its Portfolio Strategy & Management team within the Global Alternatives & Credit Markets group. Based in New York or Boston, this role offers broad exposure across private equity, real estate, private credit, energy, and infrastructure, partnering closely with asset class teams to drive analytics‑driven insights, portfolio construction, and capital allocation decisions across a large private markets portfolio.
Key Responsibilities
• Support the development of a best‑in‑class private markets portfolio management platform, integrating data, systems, and analytics to drive alpha.
• Deliver real‑time insights and analysis to guide portfolio and investment decisions across private market strategies.
• Synthesize private market datasets, academic research, and external market insights to enhance decision‑making.
• Collaborate with Product, Data, and Technology teams to design scalable analytical solutions and institutionalize best practices.
• Utilize modern programming and data visualization tools to optimize workflows, improve analytical efficiency, and build prototype/MVP tools.
• Manage multiple concurrent projects while ensuring accuracy, timeliness, and high‑quality output.
Qualifications
• 1-3 years of relevant experience; this is a true Senior Analyst role.
• Strong proficiency in Python and SQL, including hands‑on experience with scientific computing libraries (pandas, NumPy, SciPy).
• Experience with financial and time‑series data, including data pipeline development, transformation, and modeling.
• Familiarity with private markets systems and tools (e.g., WSO, eFront, Aladdin a plus).
• Ability to collaborate effectively across teams in a dynamic, innovative environment.
